Family History
Ward Bruce Rasmussen is the fifth of 6 children born to Ralph Waldo Rasmussen and Mary Ellen Ward. He was born in Nurenberg, Bavaria, Germany where his dad was stationed in the United States Army. When he was about 18 months old, his dad retired from the military and moved the family to Burley, Idaho.
Education: Ward never attended kindergarten. Grades 1-5 were at Southwest School; Grade 6 was at Miller School; Grade 7-9 was at Burley Jr. High (his 9th grade year the school burned down so he spent the balance of the year on a split shift at Burley High); Grade 10-12 was at Burley High School; he received a BS degree from Brigham Young University graduating in accounting in July 1981; he received a JD from the University of Arizona College of Law in May 1991.
