Family History
Fredrick William Rasmussen was born June 19, 1881, in South Cottonwood, Utah. He was the first child of Hans Jorgen Rasmussen and Elizabeth Susan Ottley. When Fredrick was four months old, his parents moved to Elba, Idaho. He was baptized at age 8 into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Fredrick’s father, Hans, died when Fredrick was just 13 years old. He married Maud Elizabeth Horne in Salt Lake City on February 26, 1920. Fredrick was 38 and Maud was 33. They had no children. Fredrick died September 13, 1943, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
